MEET GINNY
Owner/Designer
Ginny stumbled into the stationery world while on a walk with a childhood friend. After working for Carolyn Greene for several years on a part-time basis, Ginny bought C&S Designs and The Scribbler in 2008. She credits her time working at AmSouth Bank and its advertising agency, Slaughter Hanson, for opening her eyes to uses of color and the creative world.
Holly Hollon developed The Scribbler’s award-winning logo and branding for Lewis Communications, and one idea tossed around was branding Ginny as “Miss Ginny,” someone that brides could count on regarding etiquette questions and such. While Ginny did not like this idea at first, after over 15 years in business, she might agree that she would answer to “Miss Ginny” now!
Ginny is married to her childhood sweetheart Neal Hutchinson, and they have 3 children, Cile, Virginia and Spence. And they are smitten with new grandbaby, Marie! They are members of Independent Presbyterian Church, and Ginny is a member of the Linly Heflin Unit and Red Mountain Garden Club. She loves pickleball, beach trips and Alabama football.

MEET ANNA KATHRYN
Designer / Manager
Anna Kathryn joined The Scribbler in 2024, bringing a creative background that blends graphic design, website design, and a lifelong appreciation for beautiful details. Originally from Birmingham, she combines a warm, welcoming approach with a deep understanding of Southern hospitality, etiquette, and tradition—qualities that make celebrations feel both meaningful and memorable.
Before joining The Scribbler, Anna Kathryn worked as a gemologist and jewelry designer, where she developed a keen eye for color, composition, and craftsmanship. Her passion for thoughtful design naturally extends to fine paper and stationery, where she loves helping clients create invitations and details that set the tone for life's most special occasions.
When she's not in the studio, Anna Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband, Pierce, their golden retriever, Moose, and their cat, Mitten. She also loves live music, fishing, and gardening.
