MEET GINNY

Owner/Designer

Ginny stumbled into the stationery world while on a walk with a childhood friend. After working for Carolyn Greene for several years on a part-time basis, Ginny bought C&S Designs and The Scribbler in 2008. She credits her time working at AmSouth Bank and its advertising agency, Slaughter Hanson, for opening her eyes to uses of color and the creative world.

Holly Hollon developed The Scribbler’s award-winning logo and branding for Lewis Communications, and one idea tossed around was branding Ginny as “Miss Ginny,” someone that brides could count on regarding etiquette questions and such. Ginny did not want to claim to be an expert with her then-limited experience. after over a decade in business, she might agree that she would answer to “Miss Ginny” now!

Ginny is married to her childhood sweetheart Neal Hutchinson, and they have 3 children, Cile, Virginia and Spence. They are members of Independent Presbyterian Church and Ginny is a member of the Linly Heflin Unit and Red Mountain Garden Club.
